{"id":954,"date":"2013-07-20T12:48:06","date_gmt":"2013-07-20T10:48:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tomashg.com\/?p=954"},"modified":"2013-07-20T13:17:29","modified_gmt":"2013-07-20T11:17:29","slug":"bass-couch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tomashg.com\/?p=954","title":{"rendered":"Bass Couch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fqHmKNlkliA\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n(watch the video in full HD)<\/p>\n<p>A project inspired by Subpac and rave parties \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>This is a couch that does FFT analysis of the incoming signal and vibrates with the low frequencies, making the person sitting or lying on it feel like hes right front row at a rave party as the bass vibration passes through his body.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tomashg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/DSC03622.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tomashg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/DSC03622-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"DSC03622\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-961\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tomashg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/DSC03622-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tomashg.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/DSC03622-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The project was first presented at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/443070139117715\/\">\u03a6\u03ac\u03c1\u03bc\u03b1 Projekt<\/a> festival <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/alternadiva\/\">Alternadiva.<\/a> stage, where people could experience <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/jplasmatik\">Plasmatik<\/a> and his deep tunes in a totally unique way.<\/p>\n<p>The project was quit easy to build, I followed this <a href=\"http:\/\/bildr.org\/2011\/03\/high-power-control-with-arduino-and-tip120\/\">tutorial<\/a> for driving high powered components combined with this <a href=\"http:\/\/neuroelec.com\/2011\/03\/fft-library-for-arduino\/\">FFT library<\/a>. I got the motors from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.precisionmicrodrives.com\/vibrating-vibrator-vibration-motors\">here<\/a>.
